Shady Times Ahead
Last night Clr. Parker moved a motion to provide local parks with the purchase and planting of mature trees and shade structures to provide much needed shade for children and parents.
[NOTE ] A report recommending this on 25 February 2003 was passed. In the next five years approximately $870, 000 will be spent providing the following: the planting of 520 mature trees about 3 metres tall; 66 picnic shelters with shade; and 16 larger picnic and spectator structures.
