Thumbs up for Library Expansion
A large number of ratepayers have given loud endorsement for Clr. Parker's idea to expand the capacity of Padstow Library in terms of size and resources.
"Last night Council passed my motion to investigate at least a doubling of the floor size of Padstow Libary. In addition to this, the motion included a doubling of Internet capacity every year for the next three years at all the Council Libraries."
Clr. Parker's interest in local library facilities for the South Ward, are no novelty. Many people will recall that Clr. Parker initiated the previous expansion of Panania Library.
In addition, Clr. Parker's father, the Late Gordon Parker - a former Mayor of Bankstown was a fierce advocate for such important community resources, being around when Carl Little opened the Padstow Libary.
