State Government responds to Grafitti
Wednesday 5 January 2000
The State Government has finally responded to calls of help regarding the grafitti problem.
Clr. Parker said "I welcome Premier Carr's support to local Government on this most serious issue. The State Government promises to help attack the growing graffiti problem by supplying labour to the local areas, with councils supervising the work."
"It is really long overdue, and there are many associated issues which need to be looked at. Revesby Shopping centre is looking like a waste dump. (See Parker's Plan to beautify Bankstown. Parkers repeated attempts to have it cleaned up has fallen on deaf ears.
This is in the middle of Revesby shopping centre, across the road from Woolworths.
Clr. Parker concluded "It's great that now Mr Carr appears to care about the problem, the local ALP Councillors have followed on the issue, and now have some interest.
