The proposed Thomas Street sale or re-zoning has been stopped. Clr. Parker says:
"This is neccesary until a report on contamination and cost of remediation. The report will examine whether or not all the fill has to be removed, the cost of this removal and it's disposal."
"It would be better to drop the housing proposal, and cover the site with clean fill, so locals could use as open parkland and recreation."
Clr. Parker proposes some of, or all of the following: playground equipment; skateboard facilities; bike riding area; picnic area. "These would all be much better for locals, than the housing proposal."
