The NSW Labor Government is changing laws associated with street prostitution laws to prosecute the clients as well as the workers.
"This will hopefully deter people from what is known as street crawling, and soliciting on our major roads into our city."
Clr. Parker has been a long term spokesman against the ALP policy on brothels, which some local ALP Councillors wish to blindly support.
"It angers me to think that some of my fellow community representatives would support policies which foster a lowering of moral standards; and not to mention the offensive nature for residents and non-residents having to bear witness to this."
"We should have strict regulations to ensure that brothels are contained into one or two larger CBDs, such as Sydney City and Parramatta."
Clr. Parker is also remembered, along with former Clr. Peter Carver as having stopped the brothels invading our local shopping centres.
