Last night, Cr. Parker moved a motion in the Council meeting to question the total cost of the Bankstown Civic Tower. Cr. Parker says "The State Government leased the tower for ten years and have paid Council a premium rental (Sydney CBD rates)."
"With Council's proposed move back into their Tower, they will not only lose $800, 000 in forgone rental, but risk an exodus from the Tower by the State Government when they re-think their lease. The exodus has already commenced with the TAFE Commission and the EPA recently leaving."
One can only wonder - who will be leaving next?
