1. TRANSPARENCY IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT

That the General Manager refer the following items:

· Item 8.3 “Councillor Trips” from Ordinary Meeting of Council 24th July 2001.
· Item 8.2 “Councillor Trips” from Ordinary Meeting of Council 20th November 2001.
· Item 8.3 “Councillor Attendance at Conferences, Study Tours, etc” from Ordinary Meeting of Council 23rd April 2002
· Item 8.3 “Councillor Expenses and Facilities” from Ordinary Meeting of Council 27th August 2002 to the New South Wales Minister for Local Government to seek his advice regarding the reluctance of the Council to resolve to make public the cost of themselves and Senior Officers to the residents and ratepayers.

2. LIBRARY RESERVATION CHARGES

That the library reservation charge be removed.

3. AUDITING COMMITTEE

That General Manager contact the ICAC to obtain information regarding the recommended models used for Auditing Committees relating to Approvals granted for DAs, BAs and Re-zoning Applications; and that the General Manager prepare a report with the best model for Bankstown City Council to prevent any possible corruption.

4. PAUL KEATING PARK

That a report be prepared by Council which collates the total cost and benefits to the community of Paul Keating Park, in terms of the following:

· Capital cost to build the Park (including consultancies, reports, valuations)
· Capital cost (broken down year by year)
· Annual Running and Maintenance costs since that time (broken down year by year)
· Use of the park by groups and individuals
· The number and type of events held in Paul Keating Park
